By Decree No. 128/2026, published in the Official Gazette on March 4, 2026, the National Executive Power ordered an update to the lists of substances and chemical products subject to control under the National Registry of Chemical Precursors (RENPRE).
According to the preamble of the decree, the update is based on recommendations from international organizations, which urge States to extend control measures to related substances that could be converted into, or substituted for, already regulated substances, in order to ensure the effectiveness of the chemical precursor control regime.
