The Water Authority of the Province of Buenos Aires issued Resolution 1207/19 on artificial water mirrors, complementing Resolution ADA 333/17. Resolution 1207 regulates artificial water mirrors included in works projects and in works already executed, whether or not they have hydraulic approval from the Water Authority.
The dictation of the norm was due to the existence of enterprises that have artificial water bodies, of a landscape character or for use as a rainwater reservoir or for sports practices, which can affect water resources generating irreversible environmental imbalances.
