Through Resolution 21/2023, the Mining Secretariat of the Nation extended the effectiveness of the current proceeding for the registration with the special fostering regime provided for by the Mining Investments Act 24,196.
To such end, Resolution 30/2018 of the former Secretariat of Mining Policy of the former Ministry of Production and Labor was extended for the term of 4 years, modifying different aspects thereof, including the information and documentation to be filed by natural or legal persons who want to join the regime and must register themselves with the relevant registry.
It is worth remembering that Act 24,196 of Mining Investments set forth a special regime to foster the development of mining activity in the country, as from the granting of benefits to the players of the sector, among which the following stand out:
- Accelerated amortization of the mining activity assets
- Deduction of the income tax for exploration expenses and the environmental provision in the balance sheet
- Right to the restitution of exploration VAT
- Fiscal stability for 30 years of news undertakings and expansions
